I came to Malaga for the Summer to scout out the different areas and decided that Fuengirola was the location that suited me.
After deciding that I had my list of negotables and the must haves and of course my buget..
I found the Real Estate Market very fast paced and viewed many properties with different Real Estate Agents . I knew what I was looking for as this search was for my last purchase ( my fourth home purchase in 3 different Countries) .
Then I contacted Top Ten as they had a property that was in my intrest.
I spoke with Liam who was polite and relaxed. He listened to what was important to me personally. For the first time I found someone who I felt he was accompanying me in my search and he was walking in my shoes and understands its one of the biggest life's decisions for the buyer.
As it turned out we did find "the one" for me.
Liam made it the most attentive, relaxed experience, after the purchase, his personable represantion was to continue to offer support to help in any way possible with relocating. He and his Company stands out from the rest, thank you.

Looking for our dream property in Spain we were very fortunate to come across Top Ten Marbella SL Estate Agent on the road to Mijas Pueblo from Fuengirola. We are from the UK and speak no Spanish.

The thought of actually buying a property in another country seemed very daunting particularly as you get older. On behalf of my wife and I it was an absolute pleasure dealing with Liam O’Conner from Top Ten Marbella . He was very professional throughout the whole process.

We discussed what we were looking for on emails, mobile and WhatsApp before we setup a few days viewing. Liam arranged all the viewings and picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the hotel. Over the next 4 days we viewed around 18 properties. This was great as it opened our eyes to what we actually wanted. On the Friday we put an offer in on a property and paid the 6,000 reservation fee and signed the docs.

Unfortunately on the following Tuesday our Solicitor who we had been introduced by Liam informed us that the seller had decided after accepting our offer and we had signed at their estate agent office not to sell the property. This was so disappointing. This is not what you expect or see on the TV. We got our 6,000 euros back.

We had spent the 5 days in Spain and thought we had wasted our time. In fact it turned out to be a blessing.

We got over our disappointment and arranged another visit with Liam a few months later. This time from our experience we actually upped our budget quite a lot. We had decided to go front line with sea view. This limited what was available. Top Ten Marbella have a great back computer system and see things that come on the market straight away that public don’t see for a while.

This visit we only looked at 5 properties as we had narrowed it down . We were lucky to see a property and we were the first ones in it. It had only just come on the market. We put the offer in with the fantastic help and knowledge from Liam it was accepted.

The help from Top Ten didn’t end with the sale. We wanted to modernize the property and again Liam went above and beyond arranging a meeting with a local builder who project managed the refurbishment. We have had the property now 8 months and it took 3 months to completely refurbish it. It is unbelievable . You walk through the door and the first thing you see is the blue Mediterranean Sea . My wife Moira and I have our dream property in Spain.

After a 6-month search with no success and a lot of frustration, I decided to switch the agency I was working with. I was recommended Liam O’Connor at Top Ten Marbella by a friend. After a detailed phone call on our location and property criteria, I jumped on a flight the next week and spent one day with Liam viewing 7 properties, as well as a tour of beaches, bars & restaurants and golf courses. All 7 properties matched my criteria, but one stood out above all the rest.

Within days we made an offer and Liam helped us negotiate a good deal, but his help didn’t stop there. Liam provided contacts for banks, solicitors, currency exchange (saving me thousands of pounds), insurance etc. He was always there to answer my messages and cover off any questions and concerns I had. Not only that, but after the purchase he very kindly collected us from the airport and even gave us contacts for furniture stores and tradesmen. Nothing was too much trouble.

Buying a property abroad is a big step into the unknown, but Liam made the process feel simple and immediately put my mind at rest. He is extremely professional, but he is also extremely personable and empathetic. There was no pressure to make a purchase, he was just there to provide guidance and reassurance. He understands how daunting the process can be, and how hard people have worked to put themselves in the position to buy a property abroad.

I continue to be in contact with Liam and intend to do so long into the future. He has helped us fulfil a long-held dream and we will be forever grateful.

I absolutely, 100% recommend Liam and Top Ten Marbella. If you are searching for a property, you should definitely pick up the phone and give them a call.
